Technical Description
A year-long generative drawing project produced using the p5.js library and ChatGPT. For each work, OpenAI’s language models from 4o to 5.2 Thinking is prompted within a defined conceptual and technical framework to generate drawings of itself, which are iteratively revised, debugged, and translated into SVG vector files. The files are then rendered as physical drawings with a pen plotter and using archival ink on archival paper. The project website functions as both index and publication system, organizing the daily “self-portraits” of ChatGPT, conversation metadata, model information, and other relevant documentation.
